I have arrived! I meant to blog yesterday, but my day was so full I didn’t get a chance to.
Flight was fine, got an hour or two of rest. After I arrived at the apartment, I was able to sleep until lunch time when I went into the office. I was able to get my desk set up here, and re-acquaint myself with the layout.
After work, I visited my favorite Italian place from my first Ireland visit, La Bucca. This is where I found banoffee pie. I, of course, had to get it again. Have any of you ever tried banoffee?
I went to the grocery, and I find it interesting how different the products are compared to the states. They did have Tropicana juice and Coke products, but almost everything I saw was different brand names and smaller packaging.
I had my first driving lesson, which was okay. It is discouraging to continually kill the car, but I do feel a little bit better about driving a manual. But not only do I have to remind myself to push the clutch in , I also have to remember to stay on the left side of the road. YIKES!
Getting up this morning wasn’t bad, but around lunch time I really felt the jet lag kicking in.
Starting Power 90 tonight! Once you start, there’s no going back!!
XOXO-
Al
P.S. Thanks to all who have sent me notes/comments/texts/emails encouraging me during this trip. Although I have no doubt this will be a smooth, fun and successful trip, it means a lot to have the support.
